Is Sheetz Open 24 Hours? What 24/7 Does and Doesn't Cover
Most Sheetz stores are open 24/7, food counter included, but your store's own listing is the only thing that settles it. Here's how to check, and how to order once you're there.
Quick answer
- Yes at most stores: open 24/7, usually with food and breakfast available overnight.
- Not every store, not every item, not every holiday. Verify your exact location.
- Fastest check: the Sheetz app or store locator, then a phone call if it matters.
- Late at night, keep the order simple and have a second choice ready.

In this guide
Is Sheetz open 24 hours? Mostly, yes
Most Sheetz stores run around the clock, every day, and that includes the food counter at most of them. Most isn't all. A store tucked into an unusual location can keep shorter hours, and nothing on this page can tell you which kind your nearest one is.
Treat "24/7" as the default and verify before you drive. The check takes under a minute (steps are below), and the downside of skipping it is a dark parking lot and a wasted tank of gas.
We're an independent guide, not run by Sheetz. We don't list store-by-store hours because we don't have them, and we won't guess. What we can do is explain what an open store does and doesn't promise you at 3 a.m., and how to order well when you get there.
What "open 24 hours" does and doesn't guarantee
Open doors are one thing. A full menu is another. And a menu that's printed on a board is a third, because the board can't tell you what ran out an hour ago. Even at a store that never closes, a few things can differ from what you'd see at noon.
- The building is open. You can buy drinks, snacks, and packaged food. That's what 24/7 reliably means.
- The food counter usually runs too. Made-to-order items are generally available late at most stores, including the Made-To-Order menu. Generally. Not "always, everywhere, every night".
- Individual items can sell out. A specific bread, a specific topping, a fresh-baked item. Stock is a store-level thing, and overnight restocking is not something we can describe for you.
- Services can have their own windows. Some stores have counters or sections that run on different schedules than the doors. Check the store page for anything you specifically need.
- Prices and menus can vary. Store to store, and by time. Prices on this site are approximate, so use the app or kiosk as the final word.
Breakfast is the question we hear framed most. At most stores, the breakfast menu isn't tied to the morning, so a Shmiscuit at midnight is a normal thing to order. A Shmiscuit runs from about $6.39 and lands around 622 calories (estimates, and they move by store). Our all-day breakfast guide covers the details.
How to check your specific store's hours
Start with the sources closest to the store itself. In rough order of how much we'd trust them:
- The Sheetz app or the store locator on sheetz.com. Search your store, open its page, read the hours. This is the company's own listing for that location.
- A map app's listing, as a second opinion. If the two disagree, believe the store page, then call.
- The store's phone number. Slowest option, but a person standing in the building beats any listing. Worth it before a long detour.
One more thing: check the exact store you're heading to, not "the Sheetz near the highway". Two locations ten minutes apart can have different setups.
Late-night ordering: what changes after dark
Not much, if you order the way you would at lunch. A few habits make it smoother, though.
Order ahead from the app, if your store allows it
Putting the order in before you pull in means the food is being built while you park. Our walk-through of ordering at the kiosk or app shows the steps. Whether pickup is offered at your particular store, at your particular hour, is something to confirm in the app itself.
Keep the order simple
Late-night crews are often small. A burger with four custom changes is a fine order at 2 p.m. At 3 a.m. it's an order that might sit while someone handles the line. Fewer changes, faster food. That's a guess based on how kitchens work, not a Sheetz policy.
Have a fallback
Suppose you want a toasted sub and the bread you wanted is gone. Know your second choice before you reach the kiosk. Standing there deciding with a line behind you is how people end up with a random $7 combo they didn't want.
Watch the total, not just the item
Sides and drinks are where late-night budgets slip. A typical meal runs roughly $8 to $11 once you add a side and a drink, per the figures across this site. Our under-$10 meals page shows how to stay below that.
What to order at 2 a.m.: a decision table
These are editorial suggestions built from the menu numbers, not a ranking of anything. Prices are "from" prices and vary by store.
| You want... | Order | Approx. price | Approx. calories | Why |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Something cheap and quick | Classic Hot Dog | from ~$3.49 | ~350 | Simple build, little to go wrong. |
| Breakfast, whatever the clock says | Breakfast Meltz | from $4.39 | ~220 | Small and cheap. Pair with a $2.49 coffee: about $6.88 before tax. |
| A real meal on a budget | Made-To-Order Burger | from $5.99 | ~250 | Cheapest burger. Toppings are where the price climbs. |
| Something to share | Loaded Fries | $4.99 | ~400 | Easy to split in a car. |
| Maximum food for the money | Pizza Flatz | from $5.99 | ~684 | Filling for the price. Heavy for a late hour. |
| Something lighter | Grilled Chicken Salad | from $6.99 | ~350 | Priced like a sandwich, so it's about preference, not savings. |
Prices and calories are approximate. The kiosk or app shows your store's real numbers.
A worked example: two people, 2 a.m., one budget
Picture this: you and a friend are driving overnight and want a real stop, not just fuel. The store listing says open, and you've confirmed it. Here's one way to spend about $15, all estimates before tax.
- Made-To-Order Burger, from $5.99 (about 250 calories as a base).
- Classic Hot Dog, from about $3.49 (about 350 calories).
- Loaded Fries to split, $4.99 (about 400 calories).
- One hot coffee, from $2.49, for whoever is driving next.
That's $16.96 on the nose. Drop the coffee and you're at $14.47. Swap the burger for a second hot dog and skip the coffee, and you're near $12. None of this is a recommendation to eat more. It's a way to see that a two-person stop is really a $12 to $17 decision, and where the dollars go. The hot dogs menu has the other cheap options.
All of these are the site's approximate numbers. If your kiosk shows $6.29 for the burger, believe the kiosk.
When "just check the app" isn't enough
Plenty of trips don't need more than a glance at the store page. A few do.
- Holiday nights. Schedules are the likeliest thing to be unusual.
- Severe weather. Stores can close for safety, and a listing may lag behind.
- A long detour. If you'd drive 20 minutes out of your way, a 30-second call is cheap insurance.
- A specific item or service. If your whole reason for stopping is one thing, ask whether it's available at that hour.
If the call goes unanswered at 3 a.m., that tells you something, but not much. Stores get busy. Try the app listing again, or pick a second stop. Our editorial policy explains why we send you to the source for hours rather than listing them ourselves.
What we can't tell you
A fair amount, actually. We don't know your store's posted hours, whether it's staffed the way a flagship location is, what's in stock tonight, or whether a promotion is running. Anyone who tells you otherwise without access to your store is guessing.
What the site does offer is the pricing context. The menu prices page shows the approximate cost of each item, so you can decide what's worth a late trip before you leave the house. The app has the live version.
Mistakes that cost you a trip (or a few dollars)
- Trusting a stale listing. Cost: a wasted drive. Fix: check the store page, and call on holidays.
- Assuming every item is in stock. Cost: a forced swap. Fix: have a second choice.
- Adding a drink and side by reflex. A $5.99 burger plus a $4.99 side and a $2.49 coffee is $13.47 before tax (an estimate). You could have had two meals.
- Ordering the heaviest item at the lowest-energy hour. Not a price problem, just a regret problem. A 684-calorie flatbread is a lot at 3 a.m. (approximate figure).
- Skipping the app. If your store supports ordering ahead, you're waiting longer for no reason.
For wider price context, see the full menu prices page, and the value menu if cost is the main thing.
Bottom line
Plan on a Sheetz being open, but confirm the one you're driving to, especially on holidays or before a long detour. Then arrive with a first choice, a backup, and a total in mind. Burger, coffee, done: about $8.50 before tax, give or take your store's prices.
Is Sheetz Open 24 Hours? What 24/7 Does and Doesn't Cover — FAQ
Are all Sheetz stores open 24 hours?
Most are, but not necessarily all. Sheetz is known for 24/7 operation, yet individual locations can differ, especially unusual sites or on holidays. Check your store's page in the app or on sheetz.com, and call if you're making a special trip.
Is the Sheetz kitchen open 24 hours?
At most stores the food counter runs around the clock, so made-to-order items are generally available overnight. Specific items can sell out, and some locations may differ. The kiosk or app shows what your store can make right now.
Does Sheetz serve breakfast at night?
At most stores, yes. Breakfast items aren't limited to the morning, so something like a Shmiscuit or Breakfast Meltz is a normal late-night order. Availability can vary by location, so confirm in the app before you commit to the trip.
How do I find my Sheetz's hours?
Open the Sheetz app or the store locator on sheetz.com, search your location, and read its hours. A map app is a decent second source. For holidays or a long drive, call the store, because a person on site beats any listing.
Can I order ahead at night?
Often, through the app, but whether your store offers pickup at that hour is something to confirm in the app itself. If it's not available, the in-store kiosk is the fallback, and it works the same way.
Are prices different late at night?
Nothing we can verify suggests a separate overnight price list, but prices vary by store. The prices on this site are approximate. Your kiosk or app total is the only number that counts.
